Conformity test checks the identity of finished products as compared to a reference product present or not.
A variant can be used to conduct Acceptance or Assent tests in the Wine Industry, for example.
These tests are particularly adapted to controls with only 3 to 5 assessors.
Decision rules do not rest on classic Gaussian Statistics (or Large Numbers Law),
but on a variable consensus test according to the assessor sensitivity.
Panellists must mark on a scale from 0 up to 10 (scale of difference: 0 for no difference, and 10 for a strong difference)
the product samples are compared to a standard or reference product present or not.
In Acceptance/Assent test, the rule is inverse, that’s means 10 for an excellent product / accepted, and 0 for a bad quality product / rejected.
Two cases can be possible:
If all the experts are rating the product at a lower value than the sensitive
threshold (this one can fluctuate, depending of the conformity sensitivity of the
panel), the product is accepted.
|
If one or several experts is(are) rating the product at an higher value than the
sensitive threshold, the product is rejected.
. Another panel can be asked to confirm or not the rejection decision.

Results after calculation are displayed as below:

Conformity test follow up

It is possible to ask a summary on the acceptation or rejection decisions on a period
of time, and, in case of rejection, all the comments related to this decision are displayed
automatically.
