

Recipe is a very easy use and flexible software to manage totally the whole cycle of product development, from its creation with the ingredients
to its information administration and queries on nutrition, costs, processing losses, intolerance, ingredients
declarations, ...
Products are created by assembling ingredients or complex raw materials, mixes, pre-mixes, or also
packagings which are very easily drag and drop in the recipe.
As the elements are added, the system can display a data update of:
Nutritional characteristics,.
Allergens,
Losses,
Costs,
Ingredient list, labelling
Various safety methods are suggested to save the data confidentiality.

The System is capable to manage any type of products:Drinks, milk products, ice-creams, chocolates, ready-made products, biscuits,
delicatessen, mayonnaises, industrial pre-mix products ... for the industrial companies, or for
the Supermarket Chains.
RECIPE CREATION AND DESCRIPTION
In a first point, it is possible to define ingredient or recipe models.
Then, ingredients can be created or imported to constitute the future recipes.

Then, the recipe can be created by assembling its different elements (ingredients, ou previous recipes, …).

MULTI-LEVEL RECIPES
The system is capable to manage many levels of recipes steps representing the way to mix the ingredients.

It exists no level number or complexity limits for the recipe hierarchical tree.
For example, a 'Recipe' can be a matching box of chocolates, which can be themselves created with
a very complex recipe. Then, if a change occurs in any level of the recipe tree, the system
will update automatically the whole information on the nutritional characteristics, the costs, the ingredient
list, the allergens, ...
SAFETY
Recipes are saved in database folders. So, it is possible to distinguish
experimental recipes from the current recipes used in production, for example.
So, it is possible by the user name and a password to manage the access according the user needs
on a selection of folders, related also on a selection of operation with complete access, reading only,
or no access at all.

NUTRITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS MANAGEMENT
The user can define himself the set of nutritional characteristics to follow up.

Then, for each ingredient, it is possible to enter manually data, or
to import this information from Excel, for example, if these ones are already
existing in the company.
It is also possible to drag and drop these nutritional characteristics automatically from
an external nutritional possibly present in the system (Mc Cance
& Widdowson, or USDA Nutrient database)

It is then possible to display the nutritional characteristics for the whole recipe,
and this, automatically for each level of the product creation.

COSTS FOLLOW UP
Ingredients, packagings, and very various costs can be included in the product
final cost. Many cost parameters can be used to get the product cost in many ways
(raw materials costs, seasonal prices, process costs, Mean Prices, ...).
The System has an equation operation, as a spreadsheet ; So the user can define
his own mathematical rules to calculate automatically different costs.
This type of operation can be used for cost calculation but also for nutrional
characteristics calculation, if need be.

ALLERGENS MANAGEMENT
The user can define a list of allergerns or intolerance in order to display
if a recipe can be appropiate for a particular diet with information like
« With », « Acceptable for », ou « without ».

LOSSES
It is possible to define losses in volatiles (water or others) when an ingredient
or a recipe is mixed in a recipe due to process operations (cooking, drying, ...)
These losses can be expressed in weight, in percentage, in final objective, and
with many very open rules to well reflect the real losses.
NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS
Free text fields defined according various format can be add to give information
on recipe preparation, process, cooking, but also on supliers or other related
points on recipes.

LABELLING
The System allows a very deep and flexible management of the recipe declarations,
and the ingredient lists.
So, it is possible to issue documents according different languages, or according
different clients, or even, the system can take into account the singular or plural
forms of the elements to declare. The System can also gather in the ingredient list different
ingredients depending of their nature, or their percentage with very various presentation
with different names or for example, with or without % in the recipe declaration.



REPORT AND QUERIES
This moduel, very powerful can define queries by defining: what information to
display, under which conditions, on which database to apply the query, and then
under which name to save this report in order to be capable to ask again automatically
this same information.


OPTIMISATION
It can be possible for the user to ask an optimisation on costs for example
according the different cost rules and constraints and by defining nutritional
constraints for example with lower and upper limits, or also with lower and upper
percentage limits for such or such ingredient in the recipe to optimise.
A very simple example is displayed below with a recipe « Essai Saucisse », in which
considering fats percentage for each ingredient and the integration limits, le cost optimisation
is using here one constraints which is the fats total percentage has not exceed 27%.
The result is automatically done with a final cost of 1,252 E, with the percentage of each ingredient.

REPORTS AND DOCUMENT GENERATION
Listings
Many possibilities are suggested to issue data saved in database, even with formats taken into account
different legislations.



In Excel
The user can define Excel templates in order to create very specific document for particular uses
if need be.


In Word
As a similar way as Excel, Word template can be created to issue very personalised documents which
can be sent to clients or to the different company departments (Marketing, Production, Purchasing ...)
Production, Achats).
